Working with global companies, Canadian organizations and local start-ups for close to 20 years, Vanessa’s passion is shaping a brand’s image, articulating a company’s broader purpose among various stakeholders and helping drive business growth.

As Technology & Internet Businesses Practice Lead at Proof Inc. over the last six years, Vanessa leads her team of specialists to develop integrated communications programs for prominent technology and digital lifestyle brands, constantly evaluating results to ensure the team is delivering outstanding ROI.

Vanessa is a trusted adviser to her clients, developing and implementing creative, strategic and measurable communications programs that integrate traditional, social and digital elements to support business priorities. Vanessa provides strategic counsel, program oversight and creative input on a range of clients including Netflix, Dell Technologies, Shopify and Grand & Toy.

Prior to joining Proof Inc., Vanessa worked at a multinational-owned agency for six years where she was co-lead of Microsoft Canada’s Enterprise business and responsible for overall account management and operations, including cross-Business Group integration. And before that, she was a PR Manager at IBM Canada.

As a leader of high-performing teams, Vanessa creates an environment of collaboration, constant learning and improvement to empower staff to achieve goals.

Laura Denham, Chief Creative Officer, Notable Life

A creative producer with over 15 years of global experience in broadcast, events, content and Games, Laura Denham is a creator who brings big ideas to life. She has cultivated a deep passion for content production and amplification on both the broadcast and agency side. Laura is an integrated marketer who connects brands with culture. From ideation to execution, Laura consistently delivers meaningful experiences and content for brands. As the Chief Creative Officer of Notable Life, Laura sees a unique opportunity to bring high-profile production and creative expertise to the Notable Community. Her past and present clients include NIKE, Samsung, Bell, Chevrolet, Microsoft, CBC, SABMiller, and NHL.


Laura Macdougall, Flourishing Consultant

After more than 20 years as a leader in the health sector, Laura Macdougall’s own search for fulfillment led her to the study of human resilience, and well-being – the field of Applied Positive Psychology. Now as a flourishing coach and consultant, she leverages the science, enabling others to cultivate positive habits and mindsets so they can achieve success and productivity on their own terms. Through interactive and engaging workshops, seminars and speaking events, she empowers individuals, team and organizations to thrive and flourish.

Laura’s education includes a MBA from the Smith School of Business, a degree in Occupational Therapy from Western, and certificates in Advanced Health Leadership and Applied Positive Psychology. For her, a thriving life includes challenging physical activity, time in nature, travel and serving others.
